The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has excellent infrastructure facilities to train the students in various fields of Electrical Engineering. The Department has seven well equipped Laboratories in excess of the standards set by AICTE. Continuous efforts are made to modernize the laboratories to keep pace with emerging advances in the field of Electrical Engineering. The Department has qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty.
Electrical engineering is a professional engineering discipline dealing with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering was initiated in 2010 with an annual intake of 60 undergraduate students, also offering PG – M.Tech courses in Power Electronics with an annual intake of 18 PG students and Diploma in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with an annual intake of 60 Diploma Students. Having extensive lab facilities in the areas of Power Electronics, Digital Computers, Control Systems etc., students have access to a library with an ocean of books related to various concepts of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
All our faculty are well qualified, experienced and dedicated in terms of teaching, research and guiding the students. It boasts of a rich ambience of spacious classrooms and laboratories conducive to learning and training. In order to promote academic and research cognizance among faculty, staff and students, the department is actively involved in organizing Seminars/Symposia/Workshops.
The Faculty and the college environment encourages the students to bring laurels to the department and the College by securing highest ranks in the JNTU-Anantapur. Until now, the EEE department achieved a high pass percentage in the university examinations and placements as well every year. The number of students who got placed from the department surpassed the number students who got placed from several other institutes in the region of Anantapur.
All the students are encouraged to participate in State & National Level technical fests. The students Innovative Prototypes have also been selected for the State Level Competition conducted by the Government of AP, India.
